Sportman: Ronaldinho (European Footballer of the year,FIFA World Player of the year,FIFPro World Player of the year) Cricket Moment: Sachins' 35th ton Letter: Greg Chappell( highlighting Ganguly's flaws) Seizure: Pawar wresting power from Dalmiya Sports jodi: Ganguly & Chappell (:D - they even beat the 'famous' Fame Jodi)  Hindi movie: Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi Hindi movie song: Aashiq banaya aapne Hindi album song: Bikhra Hoon Main(Jal) -- if u haven't heard it yet... you know what to do Movie Star: Akshay Kumar (undoubtedly - 4 hits this year) Dud Movie: Mangal Pandey / Paheli Media Hype: Amitabh's "small" intestine's "big" problem Catch: Abu Salem  Split: Ambani brothers  Speech: L K Advani on Jinnah Political Upthroning: Nitish Kumar's Government in Bihar Shame: Cash-for-Query (MPs caught on tape taking bribe) Resignation: Natwar Singh Kick/Walk Out: Uma Bharti ...the above two categories are essentially the same Happening Thing: The Sensex and finally the most important one.... good quesn... various reasons fot it - actually a list-
US visit - he particularly emphasized that US bureaucrats are foolish in treating Pakistan and India as equals and that they had assisted terrorist and nuclear programmes in many countries.
He also managed to strike a deal with US on the nuclear energy cooperation issue.
The incredible growth rate of 8.1% in the last 6-month period.
India's stock market is breaking records of highs.
FDI inflows are at a high too. & all this inspite of the anti-reform coalition partners(Left).
The Centre has somehow managed to handle Tsunami,J&K earthquake, mumbai,chennai floods.
Besides he has maintained his clean image & is easily one of the most respected politicians in the country. I am sure you must have read articles about his lifestyle
But it is still maintained that he is a puppet-PM and I dont really care about that
Atleast I cant think of a better Indian achiever...
hey paheli was a good movie baring the songs.
it deals with a riddle a women goes through when she has to choose between a husband who has left her the night after their marriage and a bhoot in disguise of her husband.
also india's nomination for the oscars, im among the few ppl who think so, but i recogn it can make it to the top five nominations.
